ABOUT MASA
Masa (they/them) is a Meisner-trained, SAG-AFTRA-eligible actor with a number of film, TV, theatre, and webseries credits:
Education/Training
Masa has a BA in Music from Rutgers University and a PhD in Linguistics from Cornell University. They completed the two-year Meisner program at the Actor's Workshop of Ithaca and the four-level UCB improv training program in NYC. They are a classically trained singer and have a blackbelt in judo.
Other Interests
After being on set for many years as an actor, Masa drifted to the other side of the camera to explore filmmaking. They have written and directed eight short films and are developing their first feature film. Outside of acting and filmmaking, Masa works as a speech synthesis developer, programming computers to talk. They also sing with the NYC-based ensembles Downtown Voices and Ghostlight.
